the pirate weekend

This weekend turned out to be a good one.  for one I got Megan’s and mine Inca trail trip booked for July, 8th of July will be the day when we start walking in the mountains.  This weekend was also PCL‘s event, Mike and I drove up to Lincoln for some gravel action we met up with Scott and Eric. Cornbread and rest of the Lincoln crew showed up in numbers, riding out of the D street with 40 some people was a lot of fun. Then the rollers started and people started getting stretched out. My goal was not to get lost. The ride could be categorized as me closing the distance on some people on the hills  only to see them pull away on the flats damm you multi speed people.  At the end I believe I was on the somewhere in middle of the the stretched out group about half mile off the fast guys.. The way back well I just figure I have to find a way back to D street. The Omaha posse was all scattered at that time, I found Scott  and we decided to chase down some Lincoln guys, they ride these roads was the thought. Well that worked out kind of Scott took a break i finally caught a wheels of couple of Lincoln guys. I started to see Lincoln capital building that was my guiding beacon. That I did. Mike and I rode our bikes around Lincoln  for bit to get some coffee and muffins with pizza and beer that followed later. It was good time….. Goal for me and rest of Omaha peps is to put on an event like this in Omaha this year. Next stop Norfolk… 3 weeks away.. 70′s next 2 days go out and ride…
