I spend most of the day at work playing around with Virtual server 2005 R2. Specifically installing the new Ubuntu 7.10 release. For one reason or another cdrom will not mount. I’ve decided to try something different, since i know for a fact version 7.04 works on VS2005 i decided to install that version first. I followed several tutorials to fix video mode from 24 bit to 16bit and found out another bug with the virtual mouse not working. Two fixes addressed this issue:

1) easier and lamer one

2)and kernel patch.

Since I already had 7.10 alternate boot CD downloaded, I figured why not try an upgrade from my new 7.04 install to newer version. Keep you updated on the progress. There might be some surprises coming in near feature, something new and unusual, i will keep quite secret for now.

If you are not computer nerd like me, well at least take look at these sweet 19th century mustaches, you digg…….

It recognized your itunes library and your ipod. The best feature you can copy songs from your ipod to the library, that’s right bidirectional sync. You can also do to smaller music stores just such insound.com to buy and download. It is open source so i’m sure donations are more than welcome

If you are one of the 5 or so people who accually reads this from time to time you might ask yourself a question. WTF happened to some of the blog entries and old new pictures. Well that is good question.. The truth is no one knows. My web provider, now dead jatol.com one day disapeared without notice or email to any of the customers. Even worst is the fact the data center fastservers.net turnoff their servers which host all of ex-jatol customers. No databases no files. While i have most of my files stored on my computer at home I rarely backup my word press database. Or i should say without shell access it’s hard to backup the database to remote location. Short story the only database I had was from end of may… Most likely I will never get my old DB from jatol.com oh well. It took me while to find new host and configure blog and gallery setting. Stay tunned I’m going to Portland, Or with my friend Shawn, we will rendezvous with my brother and Brandon in PDX. This is pretty
