Cat’s Craddle

cat's cradThe first novel Kurt Vonnegut i read was Cat’s Cradle. I believe I had to read it for my Honors English Class in High School while I like the book and the idea of ice-9, it is not my favorite Vonnegut, it did introduced me to his work. My favorite Vonnegut’s book is Slaughterhouse five, firebombing of Dresden, free will time travel of the character make this an American Classic. The book’s interesting phrase is “So it goes” as the author describes events of his life. This seems even more insignificant as it’s juxtaposed with the time shift of the main character. It was pretty sad news to hear a news of Kurt Vonnegut’s passing this morning. Some people will make him out to be left-leaning personality, which he was none the less a remarkable person.

In other news, it is rumored the large area of land in Council Bluffs, mentioned here was purchased by Google. Close access to the fiber networks and power plan make it a suitable for IT company. I really do not not know how credible this is as Google has two sales and Engineering offices less than 500 miles away from omaha, both in Boulder and Chicago.
