I did just get back from Tucson, AZ. Couple of impressions about the visit. Hot is hot no matter what the humidity index is. I really do not understand the whole concept of dry heat. 100 degrees is still hot no matter what. The city of Tucson is situated in valley; the town itself is bigger then Omaha. There are several differences obviously.
- No tall building (there might 20-30 building which are over 3 stories)
- Horrible driving conditions (think of Lincoln no interstate or left turn lanes)
- The influx of Hispanic population is more noticeable after all its only 70 mile from Mexico
- No big industry the biggest employer in city is U of A
In last 3 days I looked at more house/condos/apartments. I’m glad I’m back to green grass and taller buildings.
On other note I’m finalizing my trip details to Europe. We’re leaving Sunday, and it should be excellent time.
Check back for the updates from the road. In meanwhile check out this little jackson pollock website.
